I had the honor of being an Artist-In-Residence at Sunset Hills Elementary School! I spoke to the whole school at an assembly, telling them about my journey as an artist. Then, I spent an entire day working with each class on a cut paper art project. As a culminating event they had “Art & Soup Night” for all of the Sunset Hills families to enjoy an evening together, eating soup, seeing the student’s art, and meeting the guest artists. The other featured artist was Bart Vargas, who had worked with the students at Sunset Hills in December on sculptures made with recycled materials.
